Thai designer Worapong Manupipatpong recently created his version of a modern treehouse for the exhibition Politics of Me at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre. Manupipatpong describes the concept of his installation by saying: “I want to bring back the memory of when we experienced space with our small bodies, but with large imagination and borderless freedom.” The intimate space ignites a dreamscape for the visitor, drawing upon memories from their childhood.
The tree house consists of three stacked playhouses that warp around one of the gallery’s columns and are connected by ladders. The tree house is constructed from pine tiber.
