Over the last 3 years as the Director of Marketing I have sometimes found it challenging to tell the story of the Gladstone. That’s because the Gladstone is more like a person than a brand. It has human values instead of typical business values and it actualizes those values instead of having them only exist on an about page or in an annual report.
The Gladstone’s values aren’t simple, and nor is the actualization of these values. We’ve had our ups and downs but overall we’re proud of what we are and how we have supported our community.
Our values are built on the values of writer Jane Jacobs, Gladstone owner Christina Zeidler who originally conceived of the Gladstone in it’s contemporary form, it’s staff who work passionately to make it work and the community who breathe life into it.
We put together this infographic The Gladstone Hotel: A Slice of Cake to help ourselves understand how we work and we thought we’d share it with the people we are working for: you.
