Happy to see this kind review on the freshgurb blog today.
Gladstone is the best hotel/ best neighborhood that you want to be in – well – if you are cool, and like to be among cool.
We’re feeling pretty cool.
It’s not too late to find out what the Globe and Mail, NOW Magazine, Opera Review, Fab Magazine and the Toronto Star are all loving about A Synonym for Love, the contemporary love triangle opera that travels (with the audience) throughout the hotel!
Bisexuality, love triangles and hipsters: This is Handel? -The Globe and Mail
Don’t think of the production as an opera just to listen to; instead, it’s a site-specific performance that will take the audience journeying through several floors of the hotel. -NOW Magazine
The real beauty of this production is in how it manages to straddle two very different worlds: the artifice of opera and everyday 21st century life… This is one of those must-see shows that makes for great memories. -Opera Review
A Synonym for Love has proven to be a gateway drug to high art -FabMagazine
Experience the love for yourself before Aug 31. We also have a a special prix fixe pre-show dinner package available to complete the love triangle.
Weekend brunch, held in the Gladstone Cafe, is served from 8am-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays with one of the best brunch menus I’ve seen yet. Their menu, in my opinion, is so fresh and creative. To me, it breathes new life into brunch as a meal.
I have never had banana bread so moist in my life. The insides were soft and so flavourful while the outsides had that beautiful French toast crust to it that prevented the butterscotch, light at air pecan cream, and fruit from sogging the banana bread up.
Thanks for the kind words Deb! We are more than happy to brag about this and our brunch.
A night at the Gladstone Hotel, in Toronto, is like a night of dress-up and fun. No two rooms are alike, and each one is more unique than the last. Sleeping in a themed room makes you feel nostalgic of your childhood, yet intrigued by what the hotel has to offer.
Thanks Seattle Dredge, we <3 TO too!
Seeing every Pride event is nearly impossible. So if you missed the magnificent 10×10 opening reception held on our 2nd Floor Gallery last week, don’t worry, Toronto Life’s got it covered! Not only that, they think 10×10
has quickly become one of the most popular, and one of the sweatiest, kickoff events on the Thursday night before Pride weekend.
Follow this link to see Toronto Life’s full coverage of the event, including lots of great party pics!
