Collectively Speaking: Take Shelter, an event which asks Toronto’s artists and designers to tackle the issue of housing in the city, debuts tomorrow night at 7:00pm, in the Gladstone’s Melody Bar. The event will be a kind of hybrid Town Hall meeting/Battle Royal, where the collectives will present their ideas to an audience of voters who will decide the winning collective.

The Project Gallery
The Project Gallery is an artist-run space dedicated to promoting, collaborating, and supporting emerging talent through exhibitions, creative projects, and special events. Their programming includes a diverse array of perspectives, methods and mediums.
Located at 1109 Queen Street East, the Project Gallery is open to the public for neighborhood network events, special interest workshops,and exclusive exhibition previews.
185 Augusta is a studio-gallery-home representing a collective of mixed media artists working in grassroots design and production in Toronto. Their live-work space provides a relaxed environment where conversation, creation and presentation originate at any given moment.
As one would guess, their space is located at 185 Augusta Ave, and it functions as a studio for the collective as well as a gallery and party venue with permanent and temporary installations.
The Hashtag Gallery
Opened in April of 2012, the Hashtag Gallery was created with a mandate to bring the brightest artistic talent in Toronto together with established artists, to showcase a carefully curated roster of talent on both the critical and commercial contemporary arts stage. Representing a range of disciplines, what the Hashtag Gallery aim to showcase the next generation of successful Canadian artists.
