Inspired by the Aldentro coffee table, designed by Pieter Desmijter, Slice, is made of 25 identically cut pieces of laminated plywood. These layers have been mounted together to create a unique seating solution that serves a variety of functions. When grouped together this seat creates social and individual configurations for both public and private spaces. The notch acts as both a functional storage space and floor cut-out acts foot room for its users. Slice proves that a great design can serve a variety of functions. Designed by Daniel Norwood as part of the Chair Prototypes: Digital Fabrication at Humber College ITAL project.
