After the wild success of last week’s Docents Gone Wild with Evelyn Reese, we’re continuing the fun with Dawn Whitwell! Best known for her “subversive, slacker-next-door wit” we’re interested to see Dawn’s performative take on the Gladstone.
Special fact: Dawn got married here in 2008 to her loving & patient wife Tara!!!
Gladstone Hotel (GH): What does being a docent mean to you?
Dawn Whitwell (DW): Being a docent means plugging into the pure perfection of the Gladstone, and getting to carry that feeling around with me as I try out jokes in pot rooms.
GH: What makes you blush?
DW: Being called pretty.
GH: What would make you turn the car around and drive back home?
DW: I love leaving the city, so in order for me to turn the car around and go back home, I’d probably be listening to some kind of ‘not meant to be’ feeling. Those are huge right?
GH: Paint by Numbers or Abstract Impression-surrealist Modernism?
DW: Paint by numbers, every day if you can.
Book now to see Dawn’s Docents Gone Wild performance THIS SATURDAY June 09 at 1pm.
