A Broadcast Technician, a Farmer, an Illustrator, a Breakfast Server, and an Audio Engineer walk into a bar… This should be interesting. Indie-folk-post-rock-adoodledoo!
David Hustler & The Trustworthy take the stage, everything is calm for now. The five members of the band loom over the audience with a burgeoning confidence that is ready to explode. The furious rattle of a broken down guitar, the pounding percussion, the heartfelt vocals, wailing solos and the five part vocal harmonies pour deep into the audience. Now… This is what live music is all about.
For everyone in David Hustler & The Trustworthy 2013 is an exciting year. The band has been working on 3 debut mini albums (EP’s), and in June released the 1st of the 3. “Walking Straight” is an album that tells the story of a road-weary traveler, far away, and longing for home and familiarity. The 2nd disc will be released on July 25. These recordings are a definite step in the blues/rock direction from David Hustler’s debut EP “Handwritten”(2010). The creation of David Hustler & the Trustworthy, a powerful and eclectic five piece band, has made them a fresh new must-see act in the Toronto music scene.
