Join Brooklyn’s a place both wonderful and strange for a night of Lynch-influenced music and Twin Peaks screening.
5 miles south of the Canadian border,12 miles west of the state line lies Twin Peaks, a town filled with secrets. Back over that border exists One-Eyed Jacks, a dark and dangerous den of iniquity and indulgence.
Come into that shadowy, red-and-black hued world tonight at Gladstone Hotel, as Brooklyn-based dark electronic pop performer a place both wonderful and strange (Russ Marshalek, formerly of Silent Drape Runners) shows off his well-regarded Lynch influences with a night of DJing and Twin Peaks screenings.
You’ll hear music from the likes of Julee Cruise, Cocteau Twins, David Lynch and more smeary, atmospheric and dark road house jams, while re-visting those first moments after Laura Palmer was found dead, wrapped in plastic.
