What’s it all about?
Do you love decadent bath and body care products, but find the prices are a turnoff? Learn to make your own incredibly fragrant, effective, all-natural beauty products for the best baths and showers ever, at a fraction of the cost of specialty stores. You’ll see salt in a whole new light and go home with three gorgeous, gift-able body care products that you can easily recreate again.
We will be making 3 amazing body care products with natural salt:
1. Coconut-lime exfoliating body polish with citrus rind and essential oils
2. Lemongrass bathing salts with dried herbs and essential oils
3. Patchouli bath fizzies with Epsom salts, French green clay and essential oils
Each person will take home 1 jar of body polish, a sachet of bath salts and a bath bomb. Volunteer participants will work together to make the product bases, and then everyone will personalize their own great-smelling, skin softening, cleansing product.
Who will be teaching?
Nicole Salter is a Toronto mom of two who founded SaltZ&Co a year ago in response to her love of the bathtub as a place of restoration and self-care. In the process, she discovered what’s really in most mainstream bath and body care products (you wouldn’t believe it), how to cure her kids’ eczema, and the science behind the body benefits of a simple but misunderstood product: mineral salt. Today, SaltZ&Co bath and skin care products are sold at Evergreen Brickworks, Toronto East General Hospital gift shop and at local markets and craft fairs throughout the city. Our aim is to get people off bubbles, and make bath time great again with SaltZ!
