Toronto Artists Melissa Crook & Warren Nowosad explore the character of animals (and perhaps ourselves) as well as the remarkable nature that surrounds us.
Using watercolour on board, Melissa’s highly detailed subjects are often isolated on blank backgrounds, and are inspired by classic literature, the gothic novel and folk tales. Expect to see a Sherlockian fox, a dangerous looking bluejay, a greedy octopus and other fantastic beasts from her at this show.
With a mouse in his hand, a dog at his side and a heart on his sleeve, Warren creates whimsical digital illustrations influenced by traditional handcrafted mediums. Expect to see Russian nesting dogs, hipster raccoons and other delicious delights.
Exhibition runs Sept 12th – Sept 16th.
