SYNOPSIS | THE HEEL
A man and a woman walk into a bar. She’s the bartender; he doesn’t drink. She’s a bubbly optimist; he’s a narcissistic misanthrope. There’s something about the woman that makes him want to crush her, and yet she’s the only thing standing between him and the biggest mistake of his life. The Heel is a play about how being the best in the world at one thing can make you the worst at everything else.
SYNOPSIS | SCREWJOB
When Finnegan goes to bed on November 8, 2012, he is an unemployed, alcoholic recluse living in the woods. When he wakes up the next morning, he is sober, working for the World Wrestling Federation creative team, living out of a hotel room with his ex-wife, and oh yeah – it’s 1997. A mind-bending, metaphysical examination of the human capacity to change our greatest mistakes.
COMPANY MANDATE AND HISTORY | CODE WHITE THEATRE
“a trained response to disturbing or aggressively engaging behavior”
Our mission is simple; to create a safe and secure environment for artists to experiment with new material. Just as the term suggests, Code White Theatre promises to create an alarming and aggressive stir. First developed in Fredericton New Brunswick, Code White’s work has taken many forms: text based theatre; self- devised physically based work, and site specific performance.
Code White recently presented a remount of that boob show (at the first Fundy Fringe Festival in Saint John New Brunswick), 3 Artist Search for a Festival (in the 2013 Alley Play Category of the Toronto Fringe and was referred to by Mooney on Theatre as “as a perfect fringe play”). Other projects include: T: A Selection of Work-shopped scenes from George Elliot Clarke’s Trudeau: Long March Shining Path and The Laramie Project by Moises Kaufman and the Members of the Tectonic Theatre Project.
