That’s So Gay Pecha Kucha Artist Talks
July 18th, 7-9pm | 2nd Floor Gallery
That’s So Gay (TSG): Uprising curated by Syrus Marcus Ware, considers the ways that we mount (small scale/daily and large-scale global) uprisings through collaborative change making across the globe to fight for our self determination as queer and trans people with multitude interlocking experiences of marginalization- thinking about migration, disability, sexuality, gender and race and their intersections. The talk will explore the nuances intersectionality and shed light on the exhibition on display across all three floors until August 17!
The Idea behind Pecha Kucha: Each artist has 4 minutes, and slides that advance automatically 20 sec/slide for 20 slides.Curated by Syrus Marcus Ware, the exhibition reflects on disability, radicalization, class, and other intersectional experiences of identity created by LGBTTI2QQA artists.
Grab a drink in the Cafe and come up to the 2nd floor Gallery on July 18th from 7-9pm!
The Gladstone Hotel has accessible entrances and bathrooms and a (smallish) elevator to the 2nd floor. There are about 30 stairs up to the 2nd floor. There will be drinks served in the cafe and bar downstairs.
