Screening of Shlemiel, a short film profiling Men With Babies frontman Menachem Feuer, who navigates religious life with music and family. Men with Babies takes the stage for a show post-screening.

We’re pleased to host a screening of rare films by UK filmmaker Nicky Hamlyn. His work looks at the relationship between the camera and the elements being filmed-object, reflection, colour, light, shadow-resulting in a rigorous reflection on the act of filming itself.

A Celebration of all Diversities, both of the Arts and Artists!

First Instrument is a multi-generic collaboration between six filmmakers in the tradition of 12″ vinyl splits and films like ROGOPAG and ARIA. Featuring the works of Aisha Jamal, Katrina Lagace, Jean Marc Ah-Sen, Ulysses Castellanos, Martin Zeilinger, and Christopher Heron, First Instrument takes blind corners into the essay film, travelogue, narrative short, and avant-garde.

We’re excited to celebrate three years of programming with a special program devoted to the films of Gordon Matta-Clark. Our longtime fans may have spotted a brief glimpse of Matta-Clark’s Conical Intersect in the first film we showed in March 2009: Kidlat Tahimik’s Perfumed Nightmare. Tonight brings us full-circle, if you will.
