TWENTY + CHANGE 02 EXHIBITION

Twenty + Change 02 is the second in a biennial exhibition series dedicated to profiling emerging designers working in architecture, landscape architecture and urban design. The work of twenty-one Canadian design practices will be on exhibit featuring projects that rethink urban infrastructure, propose new models for public space and housing, and examine the unique relationships between the single-family house and landscape. Canada has a rich community of young designers who are redefining the limits of their discipline, setting a new agenda for our social and physical environment.

GLADSTONE WORLD: KGOMOTSO KG TSATSI

Kgomotso "KG" Tsatsis influences range from Lauryn Hill to Nina Simone to Brenda Fassie, and she describes her music passively as 'Aretha Franklin doing ballet': delicate, soulful and full of surprises. Her first release 'The Art of Love' is a collection of songs about love, addiction and paradise. A self taught guitarist, and self described old soul, she writes songs that sound like the good old days.

STONE & BONES EXHIBITION - BIRTE HELLA - OPENING RECEPTION

In The 'Hunger Series', I strive to achieve the full impact of the process of consumption and, thus, of being consumed, by alluding to the act of slaughter. The 'kill', (humane or not so), that is an accepted 'act' necessitated by the need to survive, enabling the removal and consumption of flesh, to feed ones flesh be it with tooth or utensil. 'Eat or be eaten' it is the law of nature mutability.
