Part prohibition speakeasy, part modern-day dance party, Electro Swing Club events evoke the sounds and spirit of the ‘20s and 30s, giving them a contemporary twist. With vintage dress code in effect, guests become part of this time-travelling experience and are treated to an evening of DJs, live acts, dancing, burlesque and visuals.
Since launching in April, Electro Swing Club Toronto has placed itself firmly at the intersection of vintage fashion, music and dancing, becoming the must-attend event where old-style swing meets modern beats. The October 19th event will be even bigger & better with Electro Swing Club founder Max Pashm flying in from the UK to team up with Toronto jazz temptress Tia Brazda.
Max Pashm:
The 'Max Pashm' sound is a unique blend of Electro Swing, Balkan Beats, Klezmer & Gypsy Electronica, with blistering club beats. A daring and perfect marriage fusing vintage traditions with a modern sensibility.
His DJ sets are energizing and unique, unleashing rare dancefloor gems, as well as his own tunes and classics by the top artists in the scene. Max continues to tour both as a renowned DJ and performer in Europe, USA, Canada and Mexico and is now expanding into Asia.
Tia Brazda:
Much like her dazzling attire, Tia Brazda seamlessly fuses old with new, combining elements of vintage jazz and blues with modern pop influences. One to watch in Toronto and beyond, Tia Brazda and her swingin' band are sultry and cutting-edge experience that you really don’t want to miss!
