Performer Bios:

Tomboyfriend – www.myspace.com/tomboyfriend

Critically acclaimed, small but worthy, Toronto-based Tomboyfriend has been lauded across the musical universe, from Spin to the New York Times, as well as Fab, EYE, NOW, Xtra and all over the blogosphere. A revolving glam punk performance art dream team of dreamers, visual artists, critics, musicians, PhD students, scientists and writers, their video for “End of Poverty” was named one of the best things seen in 2008 by the
New York Times. Their first album Don’t Go To School is due out in the summer of 2010. They have been called “ a more brilliant new pornographers” (Playground) “a more left-wing Hidden Cameras” (Fab) and “what nerdcore kids get down to on the dancefloor” (NOW).

VIVIV – www.myspace.com/kennethreaume

Ken Reaume, aka VIVIV (pronounced ‘Viv-viv’), is a Juno-nominated artist from Toronto, who has released three albums. Recently, Polaris Prize Winner Owen Pallett (aka Final Fantasy) personally asked Ken to open for him on his last Canadian Tour in 2007. Ken has performed with artists such as Iron and Wine, Nina Nastasia, and Great Lake Swimmers. He has also opened for Dallas Green, aka City and Colour of Alexisonfire, numerous times and also drew the album artwork for his Juno award-winning single, Sleeping Sickness.

Secret Brothers – www.secretbrothers.ca

We’re honest young bear cubs, and we play sharp, melodic indie rock with a big set of drums and a hand-me-down guitar. We utilize traditionally “straight” musical genres (nerdy indie pop and punk) to re-imagine our personal, queer predicaments and push them out into the Toronto music scene. Beyond the aggressive form, the content of our lyrics engages topics like overmedication, poverty, memory, the politics of border races, Metis identity, stupid ex-boyfriends, and illicit sex.

King Codi

An outlaw King, wanted in several provinces for risque performances, outrageous behavior and breaking the hearts of legions of gay men… are you ready for… Codi?

Sharon Mirrors

Outrageous, Out Spoken and Out of her fucking mind!
