pieceWORK “Pop-Up”
Sale Of Textile And Fibre Arts
One Night ONLY! Nov 25th, 2011
The Gladstone Hotel is renting exhibition spaces to artists interested in setting up a one night “pop-up” shops to sell textile and fibre based work including wearables, jewelry, and home décor items. We’re looking for a diverse group of artists who can produce high quality, short run production work specifically in fibre-based mediums.
- pieceWORK Pop Up Sale will coincide with the opening reception of Hard Twist, the Gladstone Hotel’s Annual Juried Show of Textile Based Art
- Event Schedule: Fri Nov 25 – 2pm-5pm Install
- 6pm-10pm Reception and Sale
- Individual display space for each participant (Spaces to be assigned by curators to accommodates individual artists w freestanding displays)
- No sales commissions paid to hotel
- No submission fee
- Free admission to public
pieceWORK Participation Fee: $75 + HST=$84.75/ASSIGNED FLOOR SPACE*
*Participation Fees are only paid if your work is selected to be part of the show.
Participation fee is due with signed contract by Aug 25, 2011.
pieceWORK Submissions: Deadline July 15, 2011
Submitting work for consideration is easy. Show us what you want to sell, and how you want to display it.
Submit:
- Name or name of group
- Contact information (mailing address, phone, email)
- Website
- 3 – 5 images representative of your work in jpg format on a CD or as email attachments. Image files should be no larger than 640 x 480 ppi (150 dpi)
- short bio
- description of the work you will be presenting and how you wish to display it
