Corwyn Lund is a Toronto-based artist and one of the designers of room 405 Parlour of Twilight.
Following an interdisciplinary education in art, design and architecture, Lund relocated to Toronto in 2000. He has since shown locally and internationally, including exhibitions and video screenings in San Jose, Chicago, Cuba, Germany, and the Netherlands. His work is held in the National Gallery’s Library & Archives, the Canada Council Art Bank, as well as private and corporate collections.
Corwyn Lund’s work animates space and design objects in dynamic relationship to the body. His installations, photography, and video are unified as a sculptural practice.
Formative public art projects, such as Swingsite, and the collaborative works MusicBox RevolvingDoor and Parlour of Twilight, are strategically integrated into civic spaces to invite direct physical engagement. Subsequent gallery-based installations, at venues such at Mercer Union and YYZ Artists’ Outlet, have continued to explore the relationship between context and sculptural form.
