To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the grand re-opening of the Gladstone Hotel, we have been invited to mount an exhibition by artists who we consider to have both great promise and influence. Last year, Katharine Mulherin mounted "you don't wanna miss that shit", an exhibition of contemporary painting featuring emerging, mid-career and established artists. This year, we have mounted "other moments: new sculpture, photography and art on paper".

Co-curated by Katharine Mulherin and Kris Knight (the 'team' at Katharine Mulherin Contemporary / Art Projects), the focus of this year's exhibition has turned away from painting to explore other mediums that reflect on 'the contemporary moment' in art. We've known some of these artists for years and others we have just become acquainted with. Teaming up as curators offered us the opportunity to combine our wish lists and create a dialogue between emerging and mid-career sculptors, photographers and artists whose work is primarily on paper. This is a truly dynamic setting for an exhibition. Using all four floors of the historic Gladstone, we aim to provide the viewer with an engaging tour of the hotel, with exciting treasures around every corner. We'd like to thank the artists, the Gladstone, and the public for providing the conditions necessary for a successful exhibition.
