ARTIST STATEMENT

Julian Finkel's Model Citizen Room incorporates the Victorian fascination with peacocks to create a "(con)temporary" environ for Gladstone hotel guests. Design details of the Model Citizen room thoughtfully acknowledges both the glorious past and present of the Parkdale neighbourhood. Julian is a self-taught printmaker and entrepreneur.
