We are pleased to present FLY BY NIGHT 2017; Nuit Blanche at the Gladstone Hotel!

The Gladstone Hotel is pleased to present #FlyByNight2016 temporary installation showcases with a particular focus on 7 project’s immersive and ephemeral performance and installation in the hotel’s second floor studios public space. Fly By Night embodies the unexpected and boundary-pushing, creative one-night-only art experiences within Toronto’s oldest continuously run Hotel and cultural hub. This year, guests will enjoy a neon dreams and projected wonders and beyond through emersion of the senses. Guests will experience the visual, hysterical, transformational and experiential in each unique environment within the various spaces in the building in this dusk-to-dawn tour-de-force exhibition.

Our main floor Ballroom also be getting in on the magic of Nuit Blanche activation; where guests can enjoy libations, music and art installation. Our Melody Bar will have artful activations that will ensure a memorable Nuit Blanche 2017.

Nuit Blanche 2017: Many Possible Futures

To mark Canada’s 150th anniversary in 2017, the City of Toronto has launched “TO Canada with Love”, a year-long program of celebrations, commemorations and exhibitions honouring this milestone. As part of

“TO Canada with Love”, Nuit Blanche Toronto has created an overarching theme for the entire 2017 event, entitled Nuit Blanche 2017: Many Possible Futures. Applicants to the Independent Projects program are encouraged to look forward to the many possible futures of Canada in their proposals, addressing notions of identify, nationhood, migration, reconciliation, settlement, and the natural landscape, among others.
