Fragments | Ryerson Third Year Photography Exhibition
March 1 – March 31st, 2018
Opening Reception: Thursday March 8, 7-10 pm
This group exhibition explores the human condition from perspectives of identity, representation, individuality, and selfhood. For their seventeenth annual Third Year Exhibition, students in Ryerson’s Photography Studies option have curated a selection of images thatinvestigate how we see others, and how we see ourselves. The expressive possibilities of the photographic medium are examined here in relation to all aspects of the human condition, resulting in a diverse range of original, engaging works that speak to ideas surrounding memory, relationship, and self-representation.
With some forty participants, the exhibition presents an exciting range of interpretations of a singular idea, seen in diverse forms.
