Join us on June 28 between 7-10pm for the opening reception of our 3rd annual Pride exhibition That’s So Gay. Exploring notions of queer gender identity and objectification through many diverse lenses, here’s a look at Johnny Forever whose work is featured at That’s So Gay on the 3rd and 4th floors.
Johnny Forever is a Johnny of all trades. A self-described drag queen, writer, graphic/video/performance artist, fledgling art historian, and porn enthusiast, Johnny Forever crafts overtly feminine, lip synching personas. As a performer Forever explores technology, the human body, and identity, while the writer enlists the voices of several stock characters and the artist warps our associations of family photos through graphite representations. Johnny Forever is based in Montreal.
