When Miriam Streiman describes a menu, she’s talking about more than just the food.
Sharing more about an ingredient as simple as butter–lovingly churned with just-picked herbs–she somehow transports you to Mad Maple, the quaint farm and inn that Miriam ran in Creemore. Cast iron pans are bubbling on the country kitchen stove and chickens are clucking outside, as guests generously spread the aforementioned butter on fresh baked biscuits, still steaming from the oven.
On May 31, you’ll get to experience it all at our Harvest Table Dinner where our guest chef Miriam will be cooking alongside Joshna Maharaj to delight guests with a rustic, ingredient forward menu that celebrates the bright spring harvest, and highlights Chick a Biddy Acres CSA and other local producer partners. Your ticket includes 4 courses of farm to table cuisine, passed appetizers in the Gallery, and wine to accompany from Southbrook Vineyards–not to mention live music from local performers and inspiring speeches. Check out the menu below and snatch up your tickets before they’re gone!
Miriam also glows with appreciation for the local producers featured in the menu. The soup is made with the best asparagus you can get, we’re assured, and garnished with delicate edible petals. The cheese in the wild mushroom lasagna is from Monforte dairy, oozing between layers of handmade pasta. When Miriam talks about dessert–you’ll almost fall out of your chair.
