Marc De Pape is a designer/artist/maker focused primarily on time-based media production with experience ranging from video production to music composition to interaction design. Prior to completing a Master’s in Design in Digital Futures at OCAD University in 2013, Marc studied Computation Arts at Concodria University, graduating in 2006. Between studies Marc worked as a music video director (Tegan and Sara’s “Alligator”) and editor (Blue Rodeo’s “C’Mon”, Juno award winning Video of the Year in 2008) in addition to his role as Audio/Visual Specialist at the Royal Ontario Museum where he helped produce video and interactive content for numerous permanent and special exhibitions (notably Schad Gallery of Biodiversity and Terracotta Warriors). He is currently interested in acoustically responsive environments and expressive code, most recently manifested in The Chime and featured on Creative Applications, PopSci, and Mashable.
