Members of the Woodlawn Pottery Studio , a Toronto womens cooperative, invite you to view a varied and unique collection of ceramics at their annual Show & Sale to be held at the Gladstone Hotel for three days on the weekend of December 8, 9, and 10. Both functional and decorative clay works are featured. Come and choose a piece for your own home, finish up your holiday shopping for friends, and shop for corporate gifts.

The Woodlawn Pottery Studio began over 20 years ago as an independent, non-profit cooperative for women interested in working in clay. They share a studio space equipped with wheels and electric kilns. Today there are 18 members, many of whom also show and sell their works through galleries, shops, and juried craft shows. Some members, such as the following, have won awards and commissions:

Joyce Wheatley has had a distinguished pottery career spanning over forty years and is the winner of numerous awards, including Juror's Choice at Burlington Arts Centers Kaleidoscope 2002 Show; Fusions Board Chair Purchase Award as well as the Henry Goodman Best in Show Award at Fusions Fireworks 2003 Juried Exhibition; her works can also be found at the Ontario Arts Council Guild Shop and Jonathon Bancroft-Snell Gallery; Joyce also teaches the morning classes at our studio.

Cheryl Wyre - was awarded Honorable Mention at Burlington Arts Centers Kaleidoscope 2002 Show; and exhibited at the 2005 Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition and other juried venues.

The Woodlawn Pottery Studio offers evening and daytime pottery classes on Tuesdays/Wednesdays. They are open to both men and women. Sessions of three-hour classes run for 10 weeks in the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.
