We believe vacant spaces should be used to grow food. Bowery Project is a non-profit organization with a mission to create opportunities for urban agriculture through the temporary use of vacant lots. Bowery Project designs, builds and manages mobile urban farms in downtown Toronto. We grow food for local restaurants and charities while engaging the community through educational programming.
Wild Crate Farm explores what we are as urban farmers and the choices we make for what food we grow in the city. Found crates from across the city come together to contain food from the wild. These foraged edibles remind us of what we overlook as potential food sources in our urban landscape.
Gladstone Hotel is pleased to announce the 3rd annual Gladstone Grow Op, a five day exhibition celebrating innovative ideas and conceptual responses to landscape, gardens, art and place making under the theme: culture of landscape. Grow Op 2015 will facilitate a cross-disciplinary forum across a broad range of creative practices within the vibrant setting of Toronto’s West Queen West neighbourhood. Grow Op, as one of the most intriguing annual exhibitions in Toronto, encourages a wide range of perspectives and dialogues around landscape and place; challenging our understanding of nature and the built environment around us. #GROWOP2015
