What will we cover?
What’s it all about?
Whether you are just embarking on your tea journey or are already a tea addict, this interactive workshop is for you! You will learn proper cupping techniques and have a chance to taste 12 unique and rare teas from various teaproducing regions around the world. You will be introduced to the various tea types, tea cultivation processes and the health benefits of tea. The evening will end with a mixology lesson on how to make delicious tea infused cocktails – perfect for the holiday season!
Who will be teaching?
This workshop will be taught by Toronto-based tea sommeliers, Sarah Wilcox and David O’Connor. Partners in business and in life, the pair lived in Taiwan for four years, sipped their way across the tea plantations of Asia and now import the teas they fell in love with. They launched Genuine Tea in May, 2015 and have since been spreading their love of good tea with communities across Toronto. You may have seen Genuine Tea at your local farmers’ market or in one of your go-to cafes. Specializing in direct trade all-natural teas, David and Sarah are on a mission to promote quality and transparency in the tea industry. Find out more at www.genuinetea.ca.
