What’s this all about?
It’s common to make art while drinking, but how about making art with drinks! Learn how to use Tequila to create amazing watercolor effects. Watercolour is a wild and unpredictable medium, but don’t be shy, come pick up a brush and try it out. Keep it light and learn that watercolours can be as fun and wild as a night out!
In this cheeky workshop, you will learn about the basics of using watercolour, masking fluid, as well as some modern experimental techniques involving salt and tequila. You’ll end the day with a beautiful tropical painting you can take home, as well as a good filling of watercolour knowledge you can use to experiment and play with your newly mastered medium!
Located in the Gladstone Hotel’s Melody Bar, this workshop is perfect for beginners, intermediates, and anyone who likes to get a little creative and silly while having a drink (or two!)
What will we cover?
Step by step, artist Jennifer Fryer will guide you through creating a beautiful watercolour painting. In the process of making your painting, you will learn how to use and control watercolours with a “wet-on-wet” technique and masking fluid, concentrated watercolours, as well as how to use experimental media like salt and alcohol.
