Alissa Vox RAW creates rich tapestries of sound from a multitude of interlocking harmonic parts looped live and interwoven together to create full music beds. Nostalgic traces of old school soul and doo-wop are laced with an indie-electronic and subtly eerie contemporary twist and reinterpreted through new technologies. A variety of other instruments (i.e. mbira, guitar, synth, and live and digital percussion) are also sometimes used and expressed in new ways to create a unique sound that is both edgy and ethereal.
New Chance is the musical project of multidisciplinary Toronto artist, Victoria Cheong.
