One monster night at the Gladstone Ballroom brought to by TWM and the Indie Machine featuring two old favourites and two new favourites. Fittingly happening at our new favourite space the Gladstone hotel. Come out early for the soulful rock of the Back 40 and stick through for the Do Good Badlies.
The Back 40– 9:40pm
We found this band very much by accident but instantly new that they had something going on. They play punk leaning indie-rock with loads of soul on the vocals and surprise saxophone which truly sets them a part from the pack. Don’t be late.
The Skirt Chasers – 10:35pm
Been too long since The Skirt Chasers rocked a TWM and that is about to be fixed. Whether the stage is small or massive or the crowd is huge or little the Skirt Chasers always deliver. One of the hardest hitting drummers you’ll ever see partnering with one of the city’s best frontmen. Been a while between shows so expect all sorts of energy.
The Rickaneers – 11:30pm
There might not be a newer band in the city we are behind harder than the Rickaneers. Great indie rock with chops and hooks and lyrics to back it up. Plus, they are actually great dudes too boot. As promoters you can’t ask for much more than that. Come and check out what the rest of Toronto will be into next year.
The Do Good Badlies – 12:25am
They might have changed their name from The DGB but they still relish the closing slot. In recent times the band has made their trips to Toronto less frequent as they gear up for a hotly anticipated and often delayed new record so make sure to get out and support.
