Whatever you want to call it—a holiday party, a Christmas dance, a winter mixer, a workplace mingler—it’s a lot of pressure to plan a corporate holiday party.
Here at the Gladstone Hotel, our Events Team has seen it all. Every year we get hundreds of inquiries from party planning committees who want to make their annual work party one to remember. With years of experience planning unique holiday parties and three historic venues to choose from, the Gladstone Hotel team can make magic happen.
Here are our top tips for Holiday Party Planning!
We can’t stress this enough: There are endless groups looking for a December party, but there are only so many dates in a calendar month! Especially when Christmas and New Year’s fall on a weekend, space is very limited. The number one way to mitigate holiday party stress is to get the date locked in ASAP. Just avoid the fall frenzy trying of last minute scheduling — it’s never too early to book ✔️.
Decor That’s Not a Bore
Last minute event planning often leads to dollar store decor, which is not environmentally friendly, unique, or all that pretty to look at. We’d much rather your brought a real tree along with you 🎄🎄. Our events team can help you add some authentically creative finishing touches to our historic venue spaces, just like this:
Say Buh-Bye to DJ-Youtube
It’s last minute and you can’t find a DJ, but your buddy has a Youtube mix they’re all too eager to share? 😅😅😅 Say “no thanks” to that and grab some top notch talent from our preferred vendor list! We’ve got DJs, bands, Drag Queens and Karaoke Maestros who’ll make sure your party keeps its own unique energy all night long.
From Seated to Standing
Remember the last time you went to a party that had no chairs and everyone was standing around awkwardly with nothing to do? Our Events Team won’t allow that to happen to your work party 🚫🚫. They’ll help you coordinate your night so it starts off seated — whether you’re having dinner, or playing warm up games, there are more (and better!) seated options to get the night going before dance party time.
Don’t Forget To Have Fun
At the end of the day, these parties are actually about having a grand old time — even for the people planning them! The further ahead your holiday party is planned, the more you’ll get to focus on the important details. Once the night finally comes, you will be free of the stresses and strains of the holiday season, and maybe you’ll actually be able to enjoy this year’s party yourself!💃🏿💃🏿
