While we give the lens some extra love during CONTACT, photography is also a big part of the fabric of the hotel year-round. A significant part of our permanent collection is photo based. This includes artwork, archives, and of course, hotel rooms!
There are plenty of travellers who have become familiar with some of our photo-based artist designed hotel rooms, and we want to make sure that locals alike get a chance to explore these functional art installations! Check out a few of our photo rooms below.
Snapshot — Room 415
Designed by the Gladstone’s Founder & Creative Director, Christina Zeidler, The Snapshot room combines vibrant images taken in the fall in Toronto’s High Park with clever furnishings creating a soaring sense of space in this cozy room.
Teen Queen — Room 305
Designed by Cecilia Berkovic, this colourful room is like sleeping over at your best friend’s – remember those Teen Beat posters? Adorned with the photos and posters we all used to have, Teen Queen is an homage to the young girls we were, feared, wished we¹d been or wanted to date. Think purple gingham, wild horses, crimped hair, frosted lipstick, Teen Beat posters and unicorn love.
