Book a Room

With 37 unique artist-designed rooms, over 45 art exhibitions a year and 3 dedicated gallery spaces, there’s a reason we’re known as Toronto’s most-loved art hotel.

The Gladstone has purposely preserved the original Victorian floor plans and interior architecture of our historic hotel in order to maintain the gracious public hallways and foyers which were designed for guests to gather and socialize. We invite guests to enjoy complimentary morning coffee in these quiet and inspiring spaces which we program with changing contemporary art exhibitions through out the year.

Since each room represents a different artist’s vision, no two stays will be the same—all you have to do is explore the rooms below and figure out which one to stay in first.

Gladstone Testimonials
"I always have a beyond lovely time at the Gladstone. I initially came almost 10 years ago to stay when I didn't live in the city. This visit was a surprise for my partner. A "staycation" if you will as we both live in the city and work crazy hours/non stop. To be immersed in art in a beautiful, queer setting is incredible and offered the perfect escape from our day to day and totally worked as a reset. In an overly gentrified Toronto, I am happy that the Gladstone exists and continues to stand by its ideals, maintaining an art focused, queer space in a time that they are few and far between in the city. We had a wonderful stay and are still buzzing from it!"
"From the ride up to your room in the beautiful vintage elevator to the stay in your crisply made bed, this place screams ‘I’m all about being different!’ The staff is super helpful and accommodating. You don’t even have to leave to have a good time. Lounge attached, fun activities and art on every floor!"

Sugarbush is a peaceful and contemplative room that brings the freshness of a snow blanketed landscape to the quietest corner of the hotel. Designer Heidi Earnshaw drew inspiration from the later winter maple forests of southern Ontario to create this warm, natural space.

Room 404 celebrates Canadiana and plays homage to the long tradition of travel inspired by the history of the hotel itself. Canadiana is a caricature. It can be a little bit kitsch and endearingly romantic, hinting at epic spaces and endeavors. The design work is tongue in cheek, smart and fun.
