86 Common Collective Photo Show
Opening Reception: Tuesday Dec 11 | 7-10pm
Exhibition Dates: December 5 – 27
86 Common Collective is an interview and photography series dedicated to sharing the stories of dynamic, powerful and inspiring women within the hospitality industry. This year’s exhibit focussed on Toronto Chefs and Sommeliers. It is a celebration of the change we are experiencing in our industry; a change across many industries once dominated by men. Women are gaining equal rights, fair pay and treatment, but we can’t stop the conversation if we haven’t crossed the finish line.
Danielle Nicholls is the founder of 86 Common Collective and curator of the Redefining Women in Hospitality exhibition. She is a sommelier and representative for the Living Vine, an organic, biodynamic & natural wine company based in Toronto.
Erin Leydon is the co-founder & photographer behind 86 Common Collective: Redefining Women in Hospitality. She is a Toronto based photographer specializing primarily in lifestyle, weddings, and portraiture. She graduated from OCADU with a major in Photography in 2012 and has pursued it not only as a passion, but as a career ever since. Her style is a reflection of what inspires her; whether it be a vast landscape, a subtle expression on a subjects face, or delicate light casting the perfect shadow. She approaches everything she shoots with the intention of telling a story with her own personal touch. Her goal is to continue providing a candid approach to the classic standard.
