Teacher Heather Raymont says, “I have been using the Common Object project for over 10 years as a strategy for students to make art that is personal to them and it has proven to be a strong vehicle to voice their concerns, struggles and personal histories.“

Etobicoke School of the Arts (ESA) is a specialized, public arts-academic high school located in Toronto, Canada. Students major in dance, drama, film, music (band or strings), music theatre or visual arts. Students work with our committed staff in an exciting and dynamic curriculum tailored to each art. Students must balance a rigorous academic workload with numerous extra curricular performances. The learning environment is vibrant, engaging, welcoming and extremely busy.
The exhibition runs to March 24 and the opening reception is on Friday March 1, from 6:30 to 9:00pm.
