a love ethic by Wedge Curatorial Projects
Wedge Curatorial Projects is pleased to present a love ethic at the Gladstone Hotel between February 1 – 24, 2019.
a love ethic explores and celebrates contemporary ideas around Black love in all its forms, including love of community, family, partners, places and of oneself. The exhibition cites bell hooks’ model for a ‘love ethic’ – a love-based activism that seeks equality and progress through care, dialogue, and solidarity.
Through video and photography, seven local and International artists individually and collectively converse with hooks’ concept through their practices.
