Armatta Contemporary presents the world premiere exposition of Water Wigs™; the fine art exhibit by American photographer Tim Tadder, touching down in Toronto’s West Queen West art village at the Gladstone Hotel. Ten large format works, each an edition of three, will be presented to the public and available for sale on the second floor art space at the Gladstone Hotel and open every day from 12 pm until 5 pm from September 5-14.
“I set out with the desire to create something new and different, something that was visually unique in a crowded landscape. I originally started with a bunch of awesome bald men and hurled water balloons at their heads, to capture the explosion of water at various intervals. The series has since evolved and has been explored in fashion, advertising and television. I chose to work with triads of colors to create images that are arresting and amusing at the same time. This collection is a testament to my core principle that if my images are my voice, I never want to be an echo.” Tim Tadder
